2012 Parade of Homes Plumbing Features

2012 MBA Parade of Homes ModelThis is a first entry into a series about our 2012 MBA Parade of Homes model the Roycroft located in Quail Haven Subdivision in Menomonee Falls.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of touring the Parade of Homes is to check out the plumbing fixtues in the home. This year we were fortunate to partner up with Kohler again to do our model. Kohler’s headquarters is right here in Wisconsin and Belman Homes is a Total Kohler Home Builder so we are featuring only their products in our Roycroft model. We have put some of the very newest of their products that are just coming into the market on our model.

In 2012 Kohler unveiled several brand new faucet designs. On top of that you will also notice that Kohler re-invented their Oil Rubbed Bronze finish on the home. It is designed to hold up better and has a more glossy finish to it.

Here we show the Alteo faucet, which fits our Arts & Crafts style theme for the home and is an exciting new entry to their lineup.

The Tresham is a new series of fixtures offered by Kohler. Its square lines blend well with the other lines in our home and get away from all the rounded looks that you commonly see on toilets.

Of course if you have a Tresham toilet why not have a matching sink to go with it. Here we show a
Pedestal version. We also will show off a vanity sink as well at the model.

Speaking of Toilets you may or may not be aware but Kohler offers a soft close toilet seat as an option. Now getting your kids (or husband) to actually close it is one thing but at least you don’t have to hear the lid bang anymore!

Now on to the really fun stuff. Last years Best Room Award winner the Tuscany featured a Digital shower interface which was well received and had all sorts of options.

This year we are showcasing the DTV Prompt. It is a much simpler unit to operate and you can still digitally control the temperature of the water as well as turn on or off the components of the shower.

Another exciting aspect of the home will be the bubble tub in the master bath. We actually installed this underneath the tile deck instead of over the top of the tile which just about any other builder in this marketplace will do. This subtle design element makes it much easier to clean as well as a cleaner streamlined look.

These are just a few of the great plumbing items Belman Homes will be displaying in our Parade of Homes Model. There are many more great products on display at our home as well not only from Kohler but also our other great manufacturers and partners.

Plumbing is not a very easy task. I tried doing some home plumbing and it resulted into quite a lot of mess. `”.*”
